I wasn’t planning on putting my son into daycare so soon but after my mother passed away I had no choice. I spent an awful long time researching the local daycares. I spoke to parents when they left the schools, toured the schools, called the child care licensing office to see how compliant the daycares were. Everyone I spoke to raved about Fox. That was four years ago. My son was at Fox for three years and my daughter is finishing her first year. Both have grown while they were at Fox and I was comfortable going to work knowing that my kids were safe!
When you think about quality day care the first thing that comes to mind is safety. Fox provides a loving and nurturing environment for your child where as a parent you feel comfortable leaving your child there. You do not have to fear what is happening because you know that your children are treated by the staff as if they were their own.
Now that you know your child is safe and loved you want to make sure that they receive an outstanding education that meets both their academic and social/emotional needs. Fox has a curriculum that the teachers use to encourage kids to learn. This curriculum is modified for every child so that each child finds success. On top of that children are taught responsibility, citizenship, empathy, and caring. A good testament is when your 5 year old comes home from kindergarten and says he enjoys it but it’s not like Fox.

Our first born had a wonderful babysitter. However, after my change of job location to south jersey we had to find a daycare that was close to what he was use to. We thought after researching the local daycares for over a year that his initial school would be perfect. What was once great turned out to be the worse for us. We bounced him around in two more schools thereafter and still didn’t find that quality daycare. Two parents spoke us, even though their kids were older and could no longer attend this school they highly recommended Fox Learning Center. Of course, after seeing how the last daycares truly treated us we were very skeptical about this school as well. Following our research I had my improved daycare checklist ready for when I made my pop-up visit.
· Do they babysit or teach?
· Do they always have different teachers every other week (my biggest pet-peeve)?
· Do the teachers speak or introduce themselves to you if they don't know the parent?
· Does a child get some one-on-one time with their class teacher?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
· Can my child learn in this environment?
· Etc...
I was surprise from previous experience with daycares, Fox made it past my checklist and my pet-peeves. I still couldn’t find anything wrong. However, because of our previous daycare scares I seemed to have kept a look out for the worse. Instead of continuing to grow skeptical, it turned into a positive place where our son enjoyed learning and playing.
Every parent (and teacher) we spoke to raved about Fox. Going on three years since then, my son begged us to let his little sister go to Fox. He and his little sister both go to Fox. They both have grown while at Fox. I can comfortable say that I finely found not a daycare but a learning center (school) that can give my kids a safe environment to learn and play.
My pros about Fox are that they provide a nurturing atmosphere for your child, a highly respected curriculum, they offer so much like music, dance, language, early reading, “Real” experienced no-nonsense teachers, and every class teacher knows all the kids names in the school! Fox is not just for the children but for the parents. Once you enroll your child you, the parent, become involved with the school as well. ALL of the parents take a little or big part in being incorporated. My con about Fox is they only go up to full day Kindergarten!
After everything our son has been through with daycares, it made our hearts filled after his first day at Fox when he said can go back to that school?
There’s no doubt that we made the right choice and we are glad that we joined the FLC family.
